Water and Environmental Engineering Course (M.Eng.)
This course aims to develop water engineers and researchers with the skills to solve practical water and environmental problems. This course is suitable for graduates who pursue a career in the projects of water treatment and water environment management.

Water and Environmental Science Course (Ph.D.)
This course aims to develop professionals with the skills to establish innovative approaches and technologies for addressing water and environmental problems.
  • Start from April or October for 3 years
  • 5 students/year
Course Features
  • Multicultural environment: Japanese students (20~30%) and non-Japanese students (70~80%) in M.Eng.
  • Language: All lectures are conducted in English. Non-Japanese students will take classes of Japanese language.
  • Practical skills: Laboratory exercises particularly focus on pilot-scale membrane bioreactor (MBR) and reverse osmosis (RO) plants for waste water treatment, computer simulation systems for water environment, and research ships for monitoring coastal area.
  • Industry experience: Internship will be arranged as part of the course work in collaboration with companies in Japan and overseas.
  • Job opportunities: SIPWEE (Society of International Promotion for Water Environmental Engineering) supports students to find employment opportunities in Japan.
